Attempted Car Robbery

On November 3, 2018, at approximately 1:30 pm, members of the Sarnia Police Service were dispatched to the 700 block of Confederation Street regarding a robbery that had taken place.

According to information received from the victim a male walked into the business and demanded that the victim gave him a ride to Corunna. The suspect was very demanding and the victim felt threatened so he reluctantly agreed to drive him. As the two left the business and headed to the car the suspect demanded that the car keys be handed over to him and that the victim was to sit in the passenger seat.

The victim handed the suspect the keys but as he approached the passenger side door the victim began to run away which in turn sparked the suspect to give chase. The victim was able to find a passerby to assist him at which point the suspect ran from the area.

Police were able to receive a detailed description of the suspect and in turn located him on Devine Street.

The accused, William Kristopher Littlejohn, 29 years of age, of Sarnia was arrested and charged with robbery and remains in custody.
