On January 26, 2021, at approximately 12:35 PM, Sarnia Police responded to an assault that took place at a residence in the 200 block of Davis Street.
The suspect in this matter, Lindsay Rene Smith, 41 years of age, was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm and assault with a weapon. She remains remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The 57-year-old male victim sustained serious injuries from the stabbing and was transported to a London hospital for further treatment.
As of last evening, the victim remains in hospital in a stable condition and is recovering from his injuries.
