On Tuesday September 24, 2019, at approximately 7:35 pm, officers were dispatched to the upper floor parking lot located in the area of George Street and Christina Street regarding a driving complaint. According to a witness a female was observed stumbling into a vehicle and then began driving the vehicle in circles in the parking lot. The female was also seen drinking beer while driving.
Once officers arrived the vehicle had been parked and the driver was passed out behind the wheel. The officer was able to wake the driver up and formed grounds to arrest her for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The officer also found an open beer can sitting in the cup holder.
The accused was transported back to the Sarnia Police Station where a breathalyzer test was conducted by a qualified breath technician. The results indicated that the driver was over three and a half times over the legal limit.
Lisa Kyle Templton, 30 years of age, of Sarnia, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having a blood concentration of 80 plus.
