In the early morning hours of October 1, 2019, officers from general patrol entered into an investigation in the area of London Line as part of ongoing concerns regarding break and enters in the surrounding area.
While officers were in the 2000 block of London Line information was received regarding two suspicious males in the area unloading items from a motor vehicle.
The officers located the vehicle and two male suspects. Officers also located what appeared to be expensive bicycles and tools. Using the serial number from one of the bicycles it was determined that it had been reported stolen. Due to this evidence both male suspects were arrested just before 4:00 am.
As the officers attempted to arrest one of the suspects he pushed off from the cruiser and attempted to run, but after a brief foot chase he was arrested. Upon searching this suspect officers located a large quantity of purple Fentanyl.
Other items were located that could be potentially used in break and enters, such as, hatchets, a mask, a black pistol pellet gun, and a metal paint ball gun.
The total quantity of Fentanyl recovered was approximately 38.58 grams with a street value of $19, 290. Officers also found a very small quantity of methamphetamine.
