Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation pertaining to a female suspect who was alleged to have been trafficking fentanyl.
On March 16, 2021, a warrant was requested by the investigating officers to search the residence in question along with a motor vehicle that was being used in the trafficking of drugs.
On March 16, 2021, at approximately 6:05 PM, a traffic stop of the vehicle in question was conducted in the area of Russell Street and Kintail Street by members of the uniform division. The driver, who was the female suspect, was taken into custody along with two other passengers. After completing a search of the occupants of the vehicle the driver and one of the passengers were taken into custody.
That same day, at approximately 6:25 PM, officers executed the warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Confederation Street that was associated to the suspect in question.
As a result of the traffic stop and a search of the residence, the following items were seized as evidence and taken off the street:
