If you have a complaint about the conduct of a police officer, or about the services or policies of the Police Service, you may choose to:
Formal complaints can be filed with our Policing Standards office, the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (O.I.P.R.D.), or at any police station/detachment in Ontario. The O.I.P.R.D. is a police oversight body, staffed entirely by civilians and accountable to the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Decisions are independent from the government, police, and the community.
