On August 28, 2021, at approximately 6:45 PM, a vehicle travelling westbound on Exmouth Street attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Melrose Avenue. In the process the vehicle mounted the curb and flattened the front passenger tire and damaged the side view mirror by striking a sign. The vehicle then traveled for a short distance before coming to a stop.

The accused was transported to the Sarnia Police Headquarters for a breath test on the Intoxilyzer Instrument by a qualified Breath Technician. Upon completing the testing, it was determined that the accused had approximately three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
The accused, Peter Pawlowski, 47 years of age, of Sarnia, was charged with one count of impaired operation and one count of having a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
Mr. Pawlowski’s first appearance in court will be on October 19, 2021, at the Sarnia Lambton Court House located at 700 Christina Street, North.
