On July 27, 2019, the Sarnia Police Service responded to a call of a dog being stolen from in front of an eating establishment in the 100 block of North Christina St.
According to the information received from the complainant the dog was tied up to a bench by the front door of the business and was last seen there at 7:35 pm. Via video surveillance a male is seen riding a bike in the area and sits down on the bench where the dog is tied. The man then slides over closer to the dog, unties the dog, and leaves with it. The male is described as being tall and thin, wearing tight black shorts, a black ball cap and white and black sandals. The man was riding a black mountain bike and had what appeared to be a duffle bag tied to the front handle bars.
The dog is described as being a 2.5 year old female husky/dingo mix, golden blonde in color, and has black spots on its tongue. It weighs approximately 65 pounds, and her name is Empsee. The dog had a red leash with a pattern of small white bones on it and a choker collar.
