Sarnia and London Police Work Together to Arrest Drug Traffickers

The Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit along with the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section have recently conducted a joint investigation regarding the trafficking of drugs by individuals between the cities of London and Sarnia.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Sarnia Vice officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested two suspects in the area of Churchill Line and Plank Road. Subsequently, officers from both services executed warrants on a residence in the 2400 block of Confederation Line in the City of Sarnia and a warrant on the motor vehicle stopped by police.

The following items were seized:

  1. A loaded 9mm handgun
  2. 57 grams of cocaine (street value $5700)
  3. 20 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy)) (street value $1000)
  4. Approximately $5800 in cash

Jermaine Spencer, 32 years of age, of Etobicoke faces:

  1. Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  2. Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
  3. Possession of a restricted or a prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence and registration certificate
  4. Occupy motor vehicle with a firearm
  5. Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
  6. Two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

The second accused, Malika Frater, 32 years of age, of Barrie, faces the following:

  1. Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  2. Possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
  3. Possession of a restricted or a prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence and registration certificate
  4. Occupy motor vehicle with firearm
  5. Two counts of handle firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner

Both Spencer and Frater were transported to London where their charges will be heard.
