Over the course of the last month members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit have been investigating a male and female who have been trafficking large quantities of cocaine within the City of Sarnia.
On March 3, 2020, at approximately 6:00 PM, Vice officers observed the suspected male conduct a drug deal in the parking lot of a local hotel in the 400 block of Christina Street. Officers proceeded to arrest the suspect for trafficking and a second person for possession of a controlled substance.
The accused was transported back to the Sarnia Police Station where a secondary search located 16.69 grams of cocaine (street value of approximately $1,769) on his person.
Vice officers requested a warrant to search the hotel room where the suspect was staying with a female. The warrant was executed in the early morning hours of March 4, 2020. While officers were searching the room the female suspect entered the room and was immediately arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
