Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit had been investigating individuals suspected of trafficking cocaine within the City of Sarnia.
On June 30, 2021, Vice Unit officers were granted a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant to search two residences related to this investigation.
At approximately 4:40 PM, on June 30, 2021, a traffic stop was conducted involving the suspects.
During a search of the vehicle and the suspects, officers located quantities of cocaine and cash.
Once the suspects were taken into custody officers executed the search warrants at an address in the 200 block of Borden Street and an address in the 1300 block of Colborne Road.
Between the two residences officers located further cash, drugs, various weapons (baton, CO2 pellet guns, and non-functioning conductive energy weapons), and drug paraphernalia.
In total, officers seized 138.22 grams of cocaine with an approximate street value of $13,822.00, and $4,033.00 in Canadian currency.
Joseph Henry Dionne, 46 years of age, and Waunda Marlaine Hilliker, 47 years of age, both of Sarnia, each face one count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Both Hilliker and Dionne have their first court appearance on August 25, 2021, at 9:30 AM, at the Sarnia Lambton Court House which is located at 700 Christina Street North, Sarnia, Ontario.
