On Sunday, June 14, 2020, at approximately 10:00 PM, a 34-year-old male victim and a 31-year-old female victim were at home in the 100 block of Essex Street. At this time the 34-year-old male answered the door and allowed the two suspects, which he knew, into the residence.
Once the two suspects entered the residence they began to assault the male. The female came down to see what was going on at which point one of the suspects allegedly pointed a large knife at her and threatened her to stay away. During the struggle the male victim was stabbed several times. Ultimately the two suspects left the residence after taking property from the home.
The male victim was taken to hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
Two males are now wanted on warrants for this incident.
The first accused is Joshua Allen Spero (aka Chase Venema), 34 years of age, of Sarnia. He is wanted for one count of aggravated assault, one count of robbery, one count of robbery with violence, one count of uttering threats, one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of breach of probation.
The second accused is Todd Wayne Campbell, 31 years of age, of Sarnia. Campbell is wanted for one count of aggravated assault, one count of robbery, and one count of breach of probation.
This was not a random incident and all parties knew each other.
