Update #2 – House Fire at 227 Maria Street

 

 

A 58 year old man from Niagara Falls, Ontario has been arrested for Uttering Threats in relation to a recent house fire.

On Sunday December 20^th, 2020 at approximately 7:20am, Sarnia Fire and Rescue along with Sarnia Police were dispatched to a structure fire at 227 Maria Street. The fire was treated as suspicious and believed to have been set deliberately. No one was injured in this fire.

At this stage of the investigation, Sarnia Police have arrested and charged Joseph Lionel Robert Nicholas Gandon with Uttering a Threat to Cause Death and Uttering a Threat to Burn Property. He has since been released on an Undertaking.

The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Division along with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall continues their investigation in this case.
