Weekend In Review (December 31, 2020 to January 4, 2021)

 

The Sarnia Police Service responded to approximately 200 calls for service over the course of New Year’s Eve and the weekend. Calls included the following:

9 – Alarms

8 – Ambulance assists

5 – Break and enter reports

7 – Disturb the peace

13 – Domestic disputes

11 – Noise complaints

16 – Person welfare / well-being checks

13 – Traffic complaints

6 – Trespass to property

17 – Unwanted persons

Road officers conducted approximately 37 routine traffic stops for various driving related concerns. Officers issued 16 Provincial Offence Notices (tickets) over the weekend for various offences.

Overall New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day were relatively quiet.
